I have always preferred built in GPS systems than portable ones, but the WorldNav 3000 XL claims to be better than built-in systems.
With a 3.5-inch color touch screen, 512MB of internal memory, an SD card reader and the TeleType WorldNav 3000 XL even has MP3 functions, which make this a truly multi functional GPS unit.
You get full maps of the USA and Canada, the only worry would be the small attached antenna that might affect signal reception, but saying that I have a Tom Tom 700 and have no problems with signal reception from a small antenna.
The WorldNav 3000 XL by TeleType seems simple to use and looks stylish, there is no subscription required and the price is very reasonable at around $399.
All you need is to expand your storage with a bigger SD card for the mp3 player…nice.
