Treadmill Bike

This is the Treadmill Bike by the Bicycle Forest, which Bicycle Forest say offer the same fat burning benefits of a normal treadmill
Now I look at it, and do not doubt that you will burn of fat trying to ride it, but why?
I suppose one answer would be that if you’re a short person at least cars can see you on the elevated running platform, so you would be over the hood of some of the biggest motor vehicles.
