It’s hard to believe your eyes when you turn the Sony Vaio VGN-U50 on, as it boots into Windows XP you get a feeling of amazement as this Sony device only weighs 0.55kg and it’s not a laptop and is kind of a hybrid of a PDA.
With a unique handheld design and running the full Windows XP OS, Wi-Fi and for its size has solid processor performance.
Although the Vaio VGN-U50 lacks a built-in keyboard and a bit bigger than a normal PDA, it still has laptop power in a PDA size. This is great as one of the most annoying things I find about my PDA is that it is not Windows XP, so it does not do all that I want or connect to the Desktop PC so easy.
In Summery: This Palmtop form has a long way to go as it lacks a keyboard, it all depends what you want it for and how you look at it. (A very small laptop or a large but powerful PDA)
