Well they have done it again with the IPod nano. You may ask is it worth the money?, the quick answer is Yes, but lets take a closer look so you can make up your own minds about the New IPod Nano.
First of all you could accuse the iPod nano of being a bit pricey, as you can buy good 4GB hard-drive players for under $88 (£50), but then its true that Solid-State memory doesn’t come cheap (you try and find a 4GB Compact Flash Card for under $266 (£150) )
The major benefit of the iPod nano is its thickness (or lack of it) 6.9mm and this has been achieved by replacing the old hard-disk with a carb-free solid-state memory, this gives you a smaller size and a tiny battery that can keep the iPod nano playing for over 14 hours and there are n o moving parts so you can jump on a trampoline and still listen to your music.
Features
2GB or 4GB Flash Memory (500 to 1000 Songs)
1.5in, 176×132 Pixel LCD Color Screen
Weighs Only 42g, 90×40x7mm
Supports These Formats (MP3, AAC, WAV, Audible, AIFF, Apple Lossless, BMP, PNG, PSD, TIFF, Jpeg
In summery there’s not much that can match the IPod Nano’s size, the click wheel, coolness and iTunes – Another option would be the Creative Zen Micro 5GB for more storage, napster compatibility and less cash.
